細節
Dear rebels, there's another excellent solidarity protest opportunity coming up, as the Poor People's Campaign & Rev. William Barber will be hitting the National Mall in Washington D.C. on June 18th to demand economic and racial justice; the restoration of voting rights protections; the abolishment of mass incarceration; and so much more. We hope to mobilize a strong contingent of XR Boston members to travel to D.C. to protest in solidarity with them on the day, as well as to amplify the urgency of the climate emergency and the desperate need for mass protest to combat it. We hope to build stronger connections with our allies and recruit new members for XR nationwide. The Poor People's Campaign is organizing buses down to D.C. for the march and rally. If you are interested in attending with us, please RSVP and we will follow up with travel details. Also, one final note: the start time is subject to change—this will be a full day commitment involving a bus trip down to D.C. and back to Boston on the same day. First step is to RSVP on the XR Boston website: https://xrboston.org/action/poor-peoples-campaign-moral-march/ And then to RSVP via this link: https://www.poorpeoplescampaign.org/june18/ Do NOT sign up for a bus yet, as we will be trying to figure out how to get everyone on the same bus so we can ride together. If you have any questions, please email Amy at amyhtai@gmail.com! Accessibility Will involve many hours on a bus on the same day; the march in DC should be in public spaces
