We invite you all to join us on the streets of Maleny to draw attention to the climate Emergency and the need for immediate action NOW. Lets keep the momentum going after the amazing greenslide in the recent election. The people have spoken, we want action on climate change! But we can't stop now. We are living on a dying planet where human activity based on the extraction and use of fossil fuels is causing unprecedented climate breakdown. We are experiencing floods, fires, droughts, melting ice caps, acidification of oceans and mass extinction of species. We are facing unmitigated disasters, and the greatest episode of human suffering and in-justice in history. We have to stop fossil fuel extraction NOW! We will be walking the streets displaying banners with our concern for the climate emergency. We will be inviting others to join us and take action. As the chief scientific scientist to the UK government said, we have to move quickly. What we do over the next 3 to 4 years is going to determine the future of humanity (Sir David King 2021). But there is still hope if we move fast and make noise! Depsite the momentum, it's still looking pretty grim. But there is something we can do to limit the damage. Join us as we to demand the change for a liveable future 💗🌏💗
